The design of the Chamaria Villa tries to reflect the essence of Colonial Bengali architecture with the imagery of modernism. The design incorporates the colonial elements on the portraying facades to keep the history and context of the building intact. The planning is done to give the residents the feel of modern residential home along with the ornamental elements keeping the cultural identity of the building. Louvers have been used to provide proportionate privacy to the residents and allow ample light along with keeping the historical metaphor of wooden blinds alive in the building.
