The four architecture colleges of West Bengal namely - IIEST, Shibpur, Jadavpur University, Om Dayal School of Architecture and IIT Kharagpur along with Silpa Sadan Shantiniketan and NIFT, Kolkata collaborated over a 3 day workshop guided by young architects of the city named: Ar. Ayan Sen, Ar. Abhishek Dutta and Ar. Sudipto Seal under the leadership of IIA Chapter Chairperson Ar. Gita Balakrishnan.
The event spanned over 40hours of intense brainstorming culminated in a presentation in front an audience which included many eminent architects of the city. There were 6 areas of design ideation - a Canal Front Development, a Sensory Park for the physically challenged, redesigning of metro pillars, Lighting Sculptures and Vendor Kiosks.
