This exhibition showcases the works of the urban design program of the KRVIA to analyze in depth research on 5 demonstrative sites in Kolkata and explore development ideas economic opportunities along water features of Kolkata. The premise emerges from the fact that the city negotiates its existence between the river, canal systems, ponds and wetlands. The need of both real estate as well as community participation and public space making existing today. The various sites hope to examine ideas about sustainable development. Ayan Sen Architects Urban designers and Planners has been key initiator of this project and through its research and outreach arm hopes to share this exercise with the city at large.
